A gold mine for literature and information

Wherever you live on Tjörn you're near to one of the most important sources of information in our time, one of the eight municipal libraries, where special efforts are made to meet the needs of children, young people and the elderly.

All are welcome to use the library computers for surfing the Internet, and in collaboration with the Citizens Advice Bureau, the library also offers the services of a central information resource.

In addition to fiction and nonfiction the libraries also lend out video tapes, CDs, magazines and materials for genealogical research.

The libraries are a natural venue for the various cultural programmes on offer, and a meeting place for all who are eager to learn more.
